For the 2024 Olympic Games, we were honored to participate in one of the world’s most-watched sporting events by deploying our decarbonized energy solutions. The aim: to provide clean, reliable and environmentally-friendly power to meet the energy needs of two emblematic venues, in Paris and Marseille.
In Paris, solar panels installed on the Seine provided the power supply for the Olympic and Paralympic Plaza.
Thanks to this innovative system, it was possible to power a range of equipment essential to visitors’ comfort and mobility. Recharging points for telephones, bicycle batteries and scooters were powered by solar energy. The system also provided electricity for TVs, lamps and other electrical equipment.
This project demonstrates solar power’s ability to provide local, renewable energy. It also proves that autonomous power supply can be harmoniously integrated into large-scale urban and event settings.
In Marseille, we installed a 400 m² solar shade specially designed to power the sports village. This infrastructure provided a stable, continuous and secure power supply for the site’s temporary facilities and living areas. By significantly reducing the carbon footprint, this solution enabled the organizers to reconcile technical requirements, energy reliability and respect for environmental commitments.
These two services demonstrate the relevance of our low-carbon energy solutions, capable of meeting the energy needs of major sporting and cultural events. Thanks to the exclusive use of solar energy, they offer a sustainable and practical alternative to conventional generators, while guaranteeing performance, reliability and respect for the environment.
